Sales Engineer (Electronics)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated, honest, and hardworking individual with integrity to join our team as a Sales Engineer (Electronics). The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the electronics industry (excluding home electronics) and be capable of providing both sales and technical expertise. This position requires a motivated and qualified individual to take on a leadership role while offering technical guidance to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Service Inquiries: Receive and analyze service and sales inquiries and provide prompt responses and quotations.
Quotation Management: Follow up on quotations made for service and sales inquiries to ensure timely and successful conversions.
Stock Management: Collaborate with the technical team to manage and order fast-moving spare parts and equipment.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the technical team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient problem resolution.
Technical Guidance: Read and thoroughly understand product technical manuals and equipment specifications in order to provide valuable advice and guidance to the technical team.
Technical Support: Offer expert technical advice to the team and customers, ensuring the team is well-informed and equipped to meet customer needs.

Requirements:

Experience: Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in the electronics industry (excluding home electronics).
Age: Between 40–50 years of age.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (in a relevant field).
Certified Electronics Technician (CET) certification.
City & Guilds Level 5 or equivalent.
Membership in the Institution of Engineers, Sri Lanka (IESL) or other equivalent qualifications will be considered.
Skills:
Strong leadership capabilities to manage and guide the technical team.
Excellent analytical skills to evaluate service and sales inquiries.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
